11/1/10 - 11/7/10 Press Release

11/2/10
  • On 11/02/2010, 27-year-old Cody Baxter, of Mount Shasta, was contacted for excessive speed.  He was found to be driving on a suspended license.  The vehicle was released to the registered owner, and Baxter was cited and released for 14601.1a V.C. driving on a suspended license.
  • On 11-2-10, the Mt. Shasta Police Department took a report of a burglary that occurred at 106 S. Washington Dr. in Mt. Shasta. Taken from the residence were a limited edition X Box 360 Halo Reach edition and two limited edition games; Gears of War and Gears of War 2. The case is currently under investigation. Anyone with information contact the Mt. Shasta Police Department.
11/4/10
  • On 11/04/2010, Rite Aid reported a male subject entered the store and attempted to leave the store with merchandise without paying.  When confronted by employees, the Subject ran to a bicycle and left the area.  The suspect was described as a white male approximately 5’6”, 145 lbs., with short hair, approximately 30-years-old.  The suspect was not found.
  • On 11/4/2010, MSPD responded to Sports and Spirits for a reported theft. A witness observed a male subject go into the store and steal a bottle of alcohol. The male subject left without paying for the merchandise. Paul Fischer, 19 of Mt. Shasta, was contacted and ultimately arrested for Burglary, Theft and probation violation. Fischer was booked into the county jail.
  • On 11/4/10, an officer responded to Mt Shasta High School regarding an allegation of possession of marijuana.  After a brief investigation, two juveniles were found to be in possession and were cited and released.
11/7/10
  • On 11-7-2010, MSPD made a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Peter Thamer of Callahan. It was determined that Thamer was under the influence of alcohol. Thamer was arrested for Driving while intoxicated. Thamer was transported to Siskiyou Couny Jail to be booked

  • Report of gunshot heard near Carmen.  Possible fire cracker. 
  • Report of someone attempting numerous door handles on vehicles near Lai Lai's.  Unable to locate.
  • Citation issued for minor in possession - See Press Release
  • Theft of tools from back of truck occurred at Black Bear Diner.  Tools found scatters in bushes.
  • Male arrested for DUI.

10/25/10 - 10/31/10 Press Release

10/25/10
  • At approximately 1815 hrs, MSPD arrested Janet Marie Bruce, age 60 of Weed, for public intoxication.  Bruce was transported to the Siskiyou County Jail where she was booked.
10/27/10
  • MSPD contacted Jason Crabtree and Elijah Fox behind Ray's Shopping Center.  Crabtree had two $7500 warrants.  Crabtree was arrested for the warrants and was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.  Fox had in his possession two bottles of beer.  Fox was cited and released for minor in possession of alcohol. 
  • MSPD wasd called to the City park to investigate an intoxicated couple.  The responding officer contacted 24 year old Kristina Hayward of Little River, CA.  Hayward was intoxicated and unable to care for herself.  Hayward was arrested for being drunk in public.  She was transported to Mercy Medical Center for evaluation and then booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
10/28/10
  • MSPD responded to an address on Carmen for a report of domestic violence.  After arriving on scene it was determined that an assault occurred and Jennifer Cooley, 45 of Redding, CA, was arrested for domestic violence.

10/30/10
  • MSPD contacted Cody Grayson, of Weed CA, at about 2:51am.  It was determined that Grayson was intoxicated and could not care for the safety of himself or others.  Cody was arrested for drunk in public and transported to Siskiyou County Jail to be booked.
  • Jackie Duplechein reported that her son's silver Haro BMX bike and black Kryptonic skateboard were stolen from their yard on Rockfellow Dr sometime between 7:00pm Friday 10/29 and 12 noon on Saturday 10/30.  A theft report was filed.  Anyone with information please contact MSPD.

  •  MSPD contacted Colin Waterman, age 18, at Sisson School.  Waterman was in possession of alcohol.  Waterman was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.
