  • FOUND - keys left at Siskiyou Arts Council Gallery.  Dunsmuir license plate key chain.

  • FOUND - purple Motorola Verizon phone.  Returned to owner

  • On Wednesday, 03/30/2011, MSPD was called to Mt Shasta Super Market to assist employees with a shoplifter. Audra Merrill of Mt Shasta was placed under citizens arrest for shoplifting by a store employee. Merrill was issued a citation for theft and released.
  • On 03/30/11, at approximately 3:49 pm the department responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Lake and Mt. Shasta Blvd.  57-year-old Rosemonde Kelleher was struck by a 2001 Subaru driven by 62-year-old William Mariner, both of Mt. Shasta.  Kelleher was transported to Mercy by ambulance for treatment.

  • On 04/03/11, the department took a report of a business sign being stolen from Mt. Shasta Natural Healing, during the night.
  • On 04/03/2011, the department took a report of a snowboard stolen out of the back of a pick-up truck at 623 Pine St.  The theft occurred between 8:30pm and 9:00am.  The snowboard is a Head Tribute size 149.  It is light blue/ gray/ white with a triangular pattern containing images of eyes.  The Base of the snowboard in light blue and has “Head” written across it in large letters.  The Bindings are Head bindings that are designed for quick adjustments.  The snowboard and bindings are worth approximately $600.00.  Below is a picture of the snowboard.  Anyone with information please contact MSPD.

    3/21/11 - 3/27/11 Press Release

    3/21/11
    • On 3-21-2011 officers responded to 1216 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd. on a reported tresspassing. James Wilson was arrested inside the residence for Buglary and possession of stolen property.
    3/22/11
    • On 03/22/2011, a 49 year old transient, Edsel Lewis, was placed under citizens arrest for shoplifting from the Soul Connection. Lewis was transported to Siskiyou county Jail by MSPD and booked for theft.

    • LOST - Green crocheted lanyard with keys  
    • FOUND - License plate in snow, left message with owner

    • On 3-26-11 the Mt. Shasta Police Department arrested Christopher Shane Bigler, age 37, of Mt. Shasta for two outstanding warrants. Bigler was cited and issued a court date. Bigler was then released.
    • LOST - Credit Card from Bank of Sierra, possibly near the Library

    3/14/11 - 3/20/11 Press Release

    • FOUND - set of keys in front of MPI
    3/17/11
    • On 03/17/2011, a MSPD officer heard a loud noise coming from the down town area. The Officer investigated the noise and found that large amounts of damage had been done to several different buildings. With the assistance of Deputy Kubowitz of SCSO, two subjects were arrested in conjunction with the vandalism. Businesses that were affected were MPI, Pepsi, Video Village, and Shasta Base Camp. It is estimated that there is over $2000 of damage to the businesses. Jeremiah Stewart and Daniel Wallaker of Eureka were arrested and booked into jail for felonious vandalism. 
    • On 3/17/2011, MSPD assisted a vehicle that was stuck in the snow.  During the call the officer contacted 34 year old Ray Allen Spaulding, of Mt Shasta.  It was determined that Spaulding had several outstanding warrants.  Spaulding was arrested and transported to Siskiyou County Jail.

    • On 3/18/2011, MSPD was called to do a welfare check.  During the call a juvenile was contacted and subsequently cited for providing false identification to a police officer.

    • On 3/19/2011, MSPD was contacted regarding suspicious activity near the Piemont Restuarant.  During the investigation an officer contacted 25 year old Joseph C. Russo of Yreka.  It was determined that Russo had several outstanding warrants.  He was arrested and booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
